The Eating Disorder Diaries
Entry 1: I had bulimia for 16 years. This is my story.
Welcome to the first entry of The Eating Disorder Diaries. In this episode, host Amy Goeckel talks about her 16 year story of struggling with bulimia. We go back to the beginning: 7th grade was the year before the eating disorder behaviors started, but also the year that the childhood trauma Amy experienced started to make itself known. She talks about the several years she spent struggling and how finally going to therapy, working through her trauma, finding mindfulness, and finding self-love finally got her to the point of recovery she's at today.
